![]() I'm very glad they made it right for you in the end, but if you didn't have that photograph, then I wonder if they would have owned up to their mistake when they "checked the tape". Especially at Bellagio, MGM Resorts five star property. The tension of that dealer 14 might be palpable, but when they draw a face card to go over, it’s time for the whole table to celebrate in unison one of the rare moments in this game where everyone can relax at the same time. I know one can't overly depend on a non-involved third party to have your back, but it's extremely distributing and disappointing that both the dealer and the supervisor made a $500 error like that, and that no other players noticed/spoke up. There’s no better feeling in the game of blackjack than the moment when the dealer busts. I'm always on the lookout for improper dealer payouts that favor the house and promptly mention them if they affect another player at the table. Then two players at the table also didn't notice the improper payout. The proper procedure would have been for the dealer to cut out the cheques for the payout, call to the floor person to alert that a bonus was hit, then the floor person would have watched the dealer pay out the bet and verified it was correct. I find that short payout to be really distributing.
